Ludwig Van and Biggie Smalls rarely ever appear in one and the same sentence (or blog post title for that matter) together. So you know something crazy is going on once it happens. And this isht right here is crazy indeed: I have just found this genius piece of art (I don’t think the term “Mash-Up” would do it justice) which artfully merges Biggie with Beethoven at MASHKULTURE and can only add a very loud “dito” to their description:
I have no idea how this video from last April has eluded me until now. The clip is a mash up of Dan Kreiger playing Beethoven’s “Piano Sonata No. 27 in E Minor, Op. 90: II,” with the acapella for Biggie’s Suicidal Thoughts laid over it. And it’s a work of genius.
Download here or listen to some more joints among those lines here. I haven’t really listened to all of them so far but some of them really are very enjoyable, like this audio-cocktail containing Biggie Smalls’ “You’re nobody till somebody kills you” and “(There Is) No Greater Love” by Isham Jones.
